Bude Close footbridge
Nature of works: replacement of existing footbridge (Bude Close footbridge) which links Falmouth Road to Hillsley Road, Paulsgrove

Diversion: M27 Diversion: Traffic management will be in place for the full duration of the scheme on the M27 motorway, between junctions 11 & 12; the proposed TM for footbridge replacement work is to close the hard-shoulder of the eastbound carriageway and climber lane of the westbound carriageway in the vicinity of the works. A total of three night time closures of the M27 motorway between Junctions 11 & 12 are required for the replacement of the deck, during which diversion routes will be in place. Two closures for craning out the existing deck (one night to lift out the suspended span and the second night to lift out the two cantilever spans). The final night closure is required for the installation of the new steel deck. The working window for night time closures will occur on Saturday night/ Sunday morning from 21:00 to 09:00. From the previous records it was confirmed that 12 hours night time closure should not have any major impact on the network. Full Traffic Management will be in place for the duration of works and total of three night time closures of the carriageway is required to carry out the works. The closures will take place at night time in order to reduce the impact on the travelling public. During this time a clearly signed diversion route via the M27/A27/A3 will be in place. This has been approved with the local authority
Other details: the footpath closures and the T.M on the M27 will start on 15 January 2012 enabling works; M27 night closures will be on Saturday 28 January 2012, Saturday 4 February 2012 & Saturday 25 February 2012 starting at 2100 and opening at 0900 on the Sunday mornings.
